The Ocean of Story - N. M. PENZER

Dear Readers,

This blog is created to preserve the work done by Mr. N. M. Penzer, M.A. F.R.G.S., F.G.S.

Primarily Kathasaritsagara was the translation work done in 11th Century by Somdeva Bhatta, a Kashmiri Brahmin. Origin of Kathasaritsagara is in 1st Century or may be before sometime in B.C. and it was translated in Sanskrit language from its original language (Paishachi, one of the form of Prakrit language which is close to today's state language Marathi of Maharashtra.)

Mahakavi Gunadhya was the original creator of this beautiful ancient book named "Brihatkatha".

The Ocean of Story is the primary work which world knows about this beautiful creation including India. Most of the books by Indian authors are based on this book on Kathasaritsagara.

I have provided links to download these precious books printed with very limited copies during that time.  Hope this will help to all.
